Local tools

Tools marked "Runs on your device" process your files with JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Your files are never transmitted to Byhand or any third party. We cannot see them, and no copy exists outside your device unless you download the result.

Pro AI tools

The AI writing tools (humanizer, summarizer, paraphraser, grammar checker) send your text over an encrypted connection to our servers, where it is forwarded to our AI provider under a zero-retention agreement and never used to train models. If "Save to my history" is on, the input and result are stored in your account so you can reopen them; you can delete any run or your whole history at any time, and turning the switch off keeps nothing. We also record the tool used, the time and token counts for billing and abuse prevention.

Accounts

You sign in with Google or Apple; we never see or store a password. From the provider we keep the account identifier, your email address, display name and profile picture URL. Sessions use one first-party, HttpOnly cookie. Files appear in "Saved files" only when you press Save or Upload; they are stored on Cloudflare in the same region as our servers, are visible only to you, and are deleted when you delete them or your account.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. We store your Stripe customer id, plan status and credit balance.

Deleting your data

Delete history and files from your account page. To delete the account itself, email us from the signed-in address and we remove every record, including saved files, within 7 days.

Analytics and cookies

We do not use advertising trackers. Local tool pages set no cookies. Signed-in sessions use a first-party cookie for authentication only.
