How much smaller does it get?
Scanned and photo-heavy PDFs often shrink by 50–80%. Text-only PDFs change little, and the result is never larger than the merged file.
Will text stay sharp?
Yes. Only embedded images are re-encoded; text and vector graphics are untouched.
What if I add a single PDF?
The merge step is skipped and the PDF is simply compressed.
