Frequently asked questions
Is this real RAW development?
Both, and each result says which. Most cameras store a full-size JPEG inside the RAW, exactly what the camera would have saved, and that is used when it is full size. When it is smaller (older Sony, Panasonic, phones), the RAW is developed with LibRaw using the camera’s white balance.
Which cameras work?
Canon CR2 and CR3, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW, Fujifilm RAF, Olympus and OM System ORF, Panasonic RW2, Pentax PEF, Leica and phone DNGs, and most other cameras LibRaw supports.
Are the date and camera details kept?
Yes. Date taken, camera, lens and exposure are written into each JPG. Location is left out unless you switch on Keep location.
