Frequently asked questions

Is the JPG full resolution?
Yes. Canon stores a full-resolution JPEG inside every CR2, so the result matches the camera, for example 6720 × 4480 from an EOS 5D Mark IV.
Do sRAW and mRAW files work?
Yes. Small and medium RAW files still carry the full-size camera JPEG, which is used by default. Develop the RAW gives the smaller developed size instead.
What about newer Canon cameras?
EOS R and other cameras from 2018 on save CR3 instead. Those convert the same way on CR3 to JPG.
