Do I need WinRAR?

No. RAR 4 and RAR 5 archives open here directly, on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android.

Can it open password-protected RAR files?

Not yet. Encrypted RAR archives need WinRAR, 7-Zip or The Unarchiver for now.

What about multi-part RAR files?

Archives split into .part1.rar, .part2.rar are not supported yet. Single-file RARs of any size work.
