How to unzip a file

Drop the ZIP
Any size. For a split ZIP, drop the .zip together with its .z01, .z02 parts.
Browse and select
See the folder tree with sizes, preview images and text, and tick what you want.
Save the files
Download them one by one, as a new ZIP, or into a folder in Chrome and Edge.

02 — Questions

Can it open a password-protected ZIP?

Yes. Enter the password when asked; both classic ZipCrypto and AES-256 ZIPs work.

Why are some file names garbled?

Older ZIPs made on Windows in other languages store names in a regional encoding. Choose it under More → Name encoding.

Does it work with very large ZIPs?

Yes. ZIP64 archives over 4 GB open quickly because only the file list is read until you extract.
